Milli Majlis approves agreement “On Security Cooperation on the Caspian”
Baku, February 3 (AZERTAC). Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan approved the agreement “On Security Cooperation on the Caspian” signed on November 18 last year in Baku.
In then frame of this Agreement five Caspian littoral states - Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan will cooperate in fighting against terrorism, organized crime, poaching, illegal arms and drug trafficking, human trade and illegal migration, as well as in ensuring shipping on the Caspian Sea.
According to the parliamentarians, it is a step forward to establish status of the Caspian.
