MONITORS FROM BULGARIA ARE SATISFIED WITH PREPARATION TO THE ELECTIONS
Chairman of the Parliament Murtuz Alasgarov told the guests that legislative basis necessary for fair and democratic elections was created in Azerbaijan, and the Election Code meeting international standards was adopted in the country.
Chairman of the Milli Majlis informed the delegation on Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh. Despite of the fact that the UN Security Council passed 4 resolutions on his issue, the Armenians do not want to quit the occupied territories. Azerbaijan is stuck to peaceful settlement of this painful problem. However, if the negotiations do not give any results, we will use other methods, he said.
Further, Chairman of the Milli Majlis told about Azerbaijani-Bulgarian relations and highly appraised the perspective in this field.
Murtuz Alasgarov invited Chairman of the Bulgarian Parliament to visit Azerbaijan.
The head of the delegation Jordan Dimov pointed out that during monitoring in Azerbaijan, they became eyewitnesses of absence of any discrimination among Presidential nominees and high moods of the population.
The Bulgarian deputies stated that their country acknowledges territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the issue of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Further they pointed out the existence of good opportunities for cooperation at the level of parliaments in the field of oil and tourism.
Milli Majlis member, Vaghif Abdullayev and Charge d ‘Affairs of Bulgaria to Azerbaijan Ivan Palchev attended the meeting.
