MONUMENT TO BE ERECTED TO HEYDAR ALIYEV IN KIEV
The Mayoral of the capital of Ukraine under the direction of its head of Alexander Omelchenko decided to perpetuate the memory of the honorary guests of Kiev, Heydar Aliyev, who in 1997 was presented symbolic key of the city. This is also paying tribute of love and respect in Ukraine to the great son of the Azerbaijani people, architect of the Azerbaijani statehood and sincere friend of Ukraine Heydar Alirza olgu Aliyev.
It has to be noted that this will be the first monument to be erected to Heydar Aliyev beyond the borders of Azerbaijan, embassy of Azerbaijan to Ukraine said. The sculptor is Seyfaddin Gurbanov from Kharkov, follower of the famous Azerbaijan architect and academician Omar Eldarov.
As was informed, on the decision of the Kiev Mayor, at the Azerbaijan Street, it is decided to erect a monument to Nizami Genjevi, which earlier was named after 26 Baku commissars.
