MOSCOW AWAITING AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT’S VISIT

Speaker of the Russian State Duma Boris Gryzlov told Azerbaijani journalists he was awaiting the forthcoming visit to Moscow of the President of Azerbaijan with special satisfaction. “I met with President Ilham Aliyev before his presidency, and now would be happy to meet with him in his new capacity,” the Speaker said.

Mr. Gryzlov pointed out as well the great significance of Azerbaijan-Russia cooperation in lawmaking sphere, and stressed the issues of economic development would be discussed in the course of the visit, as well.

The head of the lower house also touched upon the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict saying that Russia stands for its peaceful resolution and is ready to intensify its role within OSCE Minsk Group.
