MOST OF AZERBAIJANI CITIZEN RESIDING IN US VOTED FOR ILHAM ALIYEV
According to AzerTAj Washington-based correspondent, the voters in Washington were more active. About 50 percent of electors voted 3 hours after station’s opening.
The election process was watched by the representatives of the International Fund for Electoral Systems. In observers’ opinion, elections were held in democratic and transparent atmosphere without any violations.
According to the calculation of votes as of 19.00 p.m. local time after station’s closing, October 16, the votes collected by presidential candidates have been distributed as follows: Ilham Aliyev 86,67 percent, Isa Gambar 11,67, Etibar Mammadov 1,67 percent in Washington, while in New York - Ilham Aliyev 45,94 percent, Isa Gambar 37,83 percent, Lala Shovkat Hajiyeva 8,1 percent, Ilyas Ismayilov 5,4 percent, Etibar Mamadov 2,7 percent.
