On 26 January, the renowned musician Mstislav Rostropovich visited the tomb of the nationwide leaders of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honors.

Mstislav Rostropovich laid flowers on tomb of the outstanding world politician President Heydar Aliyev and revered his memory.

The renowned musician said to AzerTAj correspondent:

“Unfortunately, I was in Los Angeles when the coffin with body of my great friend Heydar Aliyev was taken to Baku. Of course, I am very saddened. I have come to talk with my great friend.

The esteemed visitor was accompanied by Fatma Abdullazadeh, head of the humanitarian policy department of President Administration, minister of culture Polad Bulbuloglu and other officials.
