Baku, May 22, AZERTAC
The 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) is coming to a close today. Alongside a global dialogue covering various aspects of the theme, this prestigious international event was also marked by many memorable and joyful moments.
For six days, the city of Baku served as an international hub for global discussions on urban planning and sustainable development. During this period, representatives of governments and international organizations, construction and urban planning professionals, architects, and specialists from various fields, arriving in the Azerbaijani capital from different parts of the world, discussed the latest approaches to the future of urbanization and urban development.
Participants also gained valuable experience in Baku, learning about modern approaches to addressing housing challenges, Azerbaijan’s model of urbanization diplomacy, and the latest practices applied in the country in the fields of “smart city” and “smart village” concepts. Most importantly, they exchanged ideas, built new partnerships, and expanded professional networks.
The smiles on their faces and the positive emotions reflected during this high-level forum are seen as a reflection of this atmosphere.
AZERTAC’s latest photo report from WUF13 captures the genuine smiles of foreign guests and local participants representing diverse cultures and languages, all gathered in Baku’s hospitable environment. This unique harmony created by the coming together of different cultures in Baku is considered to hold value for humanity alongside the official outcomes of the event itself.
