MUSAVATISTS’ ATTEMPT TO CREATE DISORDER SUPPRESSED
Balu city Police Department told AzerTaj that on October 15 at about 21.00 o’clock, 300-400 supporters of the “Musavat” party armed with wooden clubs, sticks, empty bottles and other stuff created disorder in front of the party’s headquarters, throwing stones to the windows of neighboring buildings, damaged cars, and injured passing people. Despite the police efforts, the uncontrollable crowd destroying all in its path, attacked the building of the Central Election Commission, and injured a number of police officers.
Special police troop send to restore the public order has suppressed the musavatists’ attempt to hamper the activity of the Central Election Commission. During the operation, 20 officers of the troop and Sabail district’s Police Department have received serious and medium physical injuries.
Balu city Police Department has declared that the public order in the capital had been restored, and that all opposition’s attempts to violate stability would be resolutely suppressed.
