Muscle UP with Spinach
Baku, February 6 (AZERTAC) New research has been conducted on the muscle-building capabilities of spinach- specifically, a bowl of spinach a day (300 grams) produced efficiently working muscles.
Spinach reduced the amount of oxygen needed to power muscles within ONLY 3 days of consumption.
Blame the positive effects on nitrates- chemicals that make every cell`s machinery more effective at doing whatever they`re supposed to do.
Think of nitrates as a sports car`s “nitrous” or “injection” fuel. Dietary nitrates increase levels of nitric oxide (NO2) in the body.
Nitric oxide is an important molecule which opens up blood vessels, lowers blood pressure, and improves blood circulation.
Cells lose fuel through heat. Heat is produced in the body whenever we exert energy- thinking, eating, walking, running, fighting, shouting, weight-lifting, sexual intercourse- all of these exert energy, thus using up whatever fuel left in our brain or muscle cell that is needed to perform a certain task.
Nitrates fuel these cells, making them run smoother and a lot more efficient.
