Aiming at spiritual and material support for coverage in the mass media of combat by the Republic of Azerbaijan against the state terrorism and policy of genocide, as well as against international terrorism, aggressive separatism and extremism pursued by the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of National Security has institutionalized an Award after the renowned journalist Samir Askerkhanov for the essays on combat against terrorism.

The Samir Askerkhanov Awards is a special Diploma and money premium and will be presented for the research and publicist materials, books, documentaries, including appropriate subjects, plots with sequences of terrorism, the websites, authors of pictures on the eve of the 85th anniversary of the national security bodies that was founded on March 1919.

The board of judges comprises renowned public figures, men of art, science and literature, journalists who will sum up the results of contest.

The Awards will be presented in severally nominations.

Terms of the contest can be received from the press service of the Ministry of National Security.
