NEW BILLS ON MILITARY DOCTRINE AND SECURITY CONCEPTION OF AZERBAIJAN DRAFTING

Milli Majlis deputy chairman, chairman of the Milli Majlis permanent commission for security and defense Ziyafet Askarov said that bills on intelligence and counterintelligence are already in the Executive Office of the President of Azerbaijan Republic. They will likely be sent to the Parliament. If the parliament has no time to consider it during the autumn session, the laws will be adopted in spring. Besides, there is an increasing need to update the laws on military service, defense, bases on the draft, extraordinary situation, martial law, status of servicemen and their social provision. It is a fact that some amendments are made but they must be up to requirements of the Constitution, international conventions and European standards. Now they are being worked out. As these documents are directly connected to the doctrine and security conception of Azerbaijan, they will be sent to the parliament by the President.
