New residential block built in Salyan
Baku, December 30 (AZERTAC). The new residential block constructed at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation (HAF) has been opened in the town of Salyan
The event was attended by HAF Executive Director Anar Alakbarov, Head of the Salyan Region Governor, MP Alaga Huseynov and representatives of the general public.
The total built-up area of the block is 8 hectares. 167 houses have been built.
The houses are designed for Karabakh war veterans, disabled, poor families.
The opening ceremony was addressed by Anar Alakbarov. He conveyed to event participants the greetings of First Lady of Azerbaijan, HAF President, ISESCO and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva
He pointed out President Ilham Aliyev-pursued successful policy aims at improving social conditions of Azerbaijan`s population and developing socio-economic situation in the regions.
The settlement was built on the basis of one of Foundation`s social projects. The project is considered as a present on the occasion of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and New Year.
HAP Executive Director said Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which implements large projects in 66 places outside Azerbaijan, has become an important organization among world`s NGOs.
The residents thanked the Head of State Ilham Aliyev and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the care and attention.
