NORWAY ATTACHES GREAT IMPORTANCE TO CO-OP WITH AZERBAIJAN
Minister Vilayat Guliyev said that he appreciates the existent relations, including expansion of energy, humanitarian and oil cooperation between Azerbaijan and Norway, adheres efficient cooperation in the frame of international organizations.
Ambassador Steiner Gil expressed a hope for further expansion of business links between the two countries. The diplomat said that Norway pays a great importance on cooperation with Azerbaijan, also stressed the necessity of cooperating in the frame of international organizations.
The Ambassador highly appreciated the Decree of Azerbaijan President on amnesty related to 160 prisoners and expressed a hope that such humanitarian acts would be further continued. Touching upon other detainees of the 15-16 October disorders, Mr. Gil said that they would be probably judged fairly.
The parties had exchange of view in regard with the 15 October 2003 presidential elections, also focused other issues of mutual interest.
