OMBUDSMAN TO LEAVE FOR NORWAY
According to the office of the Ombudsman, the European Ombudsmen will focus on the “Legal Status of Prisoners”, “Legal Status of the National Minorities“, “Community’s Right to Use Formal Documents” and “Authority of Ombudsman and Courts.” The Ombudsmen will study how the above-mentioned issues meet international standards.
The “round table” is expected to continue its work in four divisions. On the last day of the event, the resulting document will be drawn up on the base of the divisions’ reports. The participants will analyze the role of Ombudsmen in protection and realizing of human rights, and exchange opinions on a number of related issues.
