OSCE PA president arrives in Azerbaijan
Baku, May 12 (AZERTAC). President of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Petros Efthymiou has today arrived in Azerbaijan.
In Heydar Aliyev International Airport the OSCE top official was welcomed by Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the vice-speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament, head of the Azerbaijan delegation at OSCE PA, and other Azeri officials.
“Azerbaijan is the leading country of region”, the OSCE PA president told journalists. “And, therefore, we attach great importance to the contacts with this country. The key goal of my visit is to conduct series of discussions on problems of security, economy, ecology, human rights and democracy, as well as settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, Petros Efthymiou said.
The OSCE PA president will today pay respect to the national leader of Azerbaijan people Heydar Aliyev by putting wreath on his tomb at the Alley of Honors, and visit the Alley of Martyrs.
