OSCE Special Representative on Freedom of Media visits Press Council
Baku, May 11 (AZERTAC). The OSCE representative on freedom of media and speech Dunya Miatovich held a meeting with Chairman of Azerbaijan Press Council Aflatun Amashov on Tuesday.
Describing the main objective of the Council Amashov said it is designed to control the relations between media and community, media and government and help eliminate problems in this sphere.
Aflatun Amashov stressed the positive results of the project of defamation implemented together with OSCE Baku Office. He also underlined the improvement of “Rules of the Professional Code of Azerbaijani Journalists” and built-up order project on defamation.
Dunya Miatovich, in turn, dwelling on activity of the Press Council, highlighted the co-projects implemented by the Press Council in cooperation with OSCE Baku Office.
