PACE Chairman meets Azerbaijani delegation
Baku, January 27 (AZERTAC). Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mevlut Cavusoglu met Azerbaijani delegation led by Chairman of Milli Majlis committee on international and interparliamentary relations Samad Seyidov.
Mr. Cavusoglu congratulated the delegation on the 10th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s membership in the Council of Europe.
Mr. Seyidov said: “Over the past ten years Azerbaijan has made a great deal. Today, a stand and a work carried out by Azerbaijan have an important significance for the Council of Europe. Over the past ten years, Azerbaijan increased its economic growth and strengthened its prestige on the international arena”. He expressed his confidence that in the future a voice of Azerbaijan in the Council of Europe would be heard at a higher level.
On Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict, PACE chairman said the Council of Europe will always adhere to the objective position in this issue.
