PACE prepares draft resolution on threat of Metsamor nuclear plant
Baku, April 25 (AZERTAC). A draft resolution warning about a threat of Armenia`s Metsamor nuclear plant is being elaborated at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
The document prepared by the efforts of Azerbaijan and the countries sharing its position will describe that what source of danger are the European nuclear plants for the region and the continent. Metsamor plant was also included in this list. Therefore 30 deputies from 20 countries signed the document to close Metsamor nuclear plant in Armenia.
Azerbaijan and all regional countries realize what is the location of Soviet-built nuclear plant in the seismically areas.
The work on this document is underway and it is expected to be discussed soon.
