Pace subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh back on track
Baku, February 2 (AZERTAC). The PACE Subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh has resumed its activity to start working after the PACE April session, Chairman of the MIlli Majlis standing committee on international and interparliamentary relations Samad Seyidov said.
He noted the PACE Subcommittee founded in 2005 had worked for two years only. After the chairman of the subcommittee passed away, the subcommittee suspended its operations and Armenians opposed its resumption.
The committee restarted its work at the PACE winter session due to the efforts of the Azerbaijani delegation and other democratic forces. Spaniard Mr Jordi Xuclà I Costa was appointed a chairman of the subcommittee.
