PALMALI GROUP OF COMPANIES LAUNCHES FIRST ABSHERON VESSEL
Baku, September 16 (AZERTAC). One of the biggest ships of the Palmali Group of Companies called Absheron started its first voyage.
The vessel has sailed from Shipyard Tsuneishi / Japan on Wednesday for its maiden voyage to load up to full cargo capacity of Gasoil from Sikka/India and discharge in West Europe.
The vessel is 243,3 meter in length, 17.3 meters in width, 42 meters in width and its carrying capacity is about 107,507 tons.
The Palmali group of companies and Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Company signed a memo on purchase of two Aframax tankers each with deadweight of 107.400 tons on May 26. One of the tankers-Shah Deniz was launched in July.
The tankers are purchased for provision of long-term contracts on the transportation of oil and oil products from the ports of Black and Mediterranean Sea.
