The session will focus issues of approval of the additional protocols to the European Convention on human rights and realization of the clauses of the document, abolishment of capital punishment, and fulfillment of the resolutions of the European Court on human rights.

Head of the international relations and inter-parliamentary links standing committee of the Milli Majlis Samad Seyidov will take part at the session of the Committee on political affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to be held in Paris on 4 November.
At the session, the participants will have exchange of views on expansion of the European Union, human rights protection, and role of democracy in the system of security, on the relations of Europe and the United States.

On 5 November, in Paris, is to be held the session of the PACE Monitoring Committee. Azerbaijan parliamentarians Naira Shahtakhtinskaya, Bakhtiyar Aliyev and Asim Mollazade will attend the event, which will discuss conclusions of the Presidential elections in Azerbaijan, fulfillment of the obligations Armenia took before the Organization, Parliament elections in Georgia, situation in Moldova and other issues.
