PARLIAMENT TO DISCUSS THE DRAFT “ON PUBLIC TELEVISION AND RADIO BROADCASTING”
Participants of the sitting discussed the Draft “On public television and radio broadcasting” in third reading.
Preparation of the Law is one of the significant steps made by the nationwide leaders of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in the direction of development of democracy of the country, ensuring freedom of speech and press, renewal of the country, chairman of the human rights standing committee Sirus Tebrizli told AzerTAj correspondent. “The Law “On public television and radio broadcasting” is widely discussed both at the Parliament and in the society. And this is connected with the interest of Azerbaijan public in the public television”, he emphasized.
When the Draft was discussed in the second reading at the Parliament there was made some 160 motions, Rizvan Jabiyev, MP and head of the Working Group said. 30 of them were taken into consideration. Some rules and regulations also were amended, while some were taken out.
The Draft was recommended for consideration at the Parliament.
