PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS IN RUSSIA DUE ON DECEMBER 7
Favorite of pre-election campaign is “Edinaya Rossia”, the party of power. It is led by Interior Minister of Russia Boris Grizlov. This party nominated 266 candidates on the party list.
The most popular parties were registered as follows: “Russian Democratic Party “Yabloko”” that nominated 121 candidate, leader - Grigoriy Yavlinskiy, Liberal Democratic Party of Russia of Vladimir Jirinovskiy that nominated 208 candidates, Union of Right Forces led by Boris Netsov nominated 225 candidates, Communist Party of the Russian Federation whose leader is Gennadiy Zuganov nominated 256 candidates, Great Russia – Eurasian Union of Pavel Borodin that nominated 159 candidates, election bloc “Homeland” led by Dmitriy Rogozin – 185 candidates, Party of Russia’s Revival – Russian Party of Life led by Gennadiy Seleznev nominated 183 candidates etc.
