PREPARATION TO THREE NEW PROJECTS OF TACIS IN AZERBAIJAN ENDED
“ Support of the Ministry for Economic Development of Azerbaijan”, “ Promotion in realization of agreement on partnership and cooperation /APC/ – Phase II” and “Support of fund of encouragement of investments and consultations” have been already approved by the European Commission, implementation of which to be held within next months, coordinating bureau of EU technical assistance program to Azerbaijan reports.
Work on project “Promotion in realization of agreement on partnership and cooperation – Phase II” is planned to start last January- early February of the next year with total cost over € 2 mln. Project plans promotion Azerbaijan in implementation of trade, economic and commercial regulations of APS, bringing norms of the national legislation to the European.
British company “IMC”, the winner of tender on “Support of Ministry for Economic Development of Azerbaijan” has already opened his office in Baku, official opening ceremony of the project with cost
€ 1,67 mln is planned for the end of current month. Aim of the project is to render technical assistance to the institutional building of the Ministry for Economic Development.
Date of launch of the works on project “Support of fund of encouragement of investments and consultations” with € 1 mln will be determined by the European Commission after consideration of reports of expert Sandra Raul, who visited Baku, late October, 2003.
