PRESIDENT ADDRESSES JEWISH COMMUNITY OF AZERBAIJAN ON HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY
“…Although the fascist policy of bloody genocide against the Jewish people was timely given a political and legal assessment, hearts still hurt for the broken fates of millions of innocent people suffered from the horrors of the tragedy, which remained as a black page in history. Unfortunately, similar crimes are repeated even nowadays. The Armenian military aggression against Azerbaijan in the end of the 20th century, bloody terror and mass violence, and the unprecedented Khojaly tragedy happened before the very eyes of the international community, but have not yet fairly valued. Remembering the national disasters experienced by the Jewish people, we resolutely condemn any form of violence now threatening the human civilization, ethnic and race discrimination, religious and ethnic intolerance, genocide and terror, and once again state on readiness for cooperation with all progressive forces in the name of peace and security throughout the world.“
