PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES IRANIAN AMBASSADOR
The Head of State asked the Ambassador to convey his sincere congratulations to the people of Iran and the government of the country on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope for further development of the traditionally friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Iran in the name of the two peoples’ welfare. Having reminded that the negotiations and documents signed during President Heydar Aliyev’s visit to Iran in 2002 brought Azerbaijan-Iran cooperation up to a new level, he especially stressed the importance of the continuation of this course in future.
Ambassador Ahad Gazai thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the kind words and sincere congratulations, and said that Iran attaches great significance to cooperation with all neighboring states, particularly with friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the parties have also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
