Afterwards, President Ilham Aliyev received at his residence President of the oil company “Total” Thietry Damaret. The Head of “Total” stressed the company intends to expand its activity in implementation of the oil projects in Azerbaijan. “Total”, according to him will be actively involved in transportation of the Azerbaijani oil to the World markets after Baku-Tbilisi- Ceyhan Main Oil Pipeline is put into operation.

On the same day President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev gave interview to “FR-3” TV Channel.

In the evening on January 22, French Minister of Defense Mrs. Michel Alliot-Marie arranged an official reception in honor of the Head of our State Ilham Aliyev. The reception was attended by members of the French Parliament, representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy, Defense, Finance, Industry and businessmen.

On January 23, the Head of our State is expected to deliver a speech at the Institute for International Relations of France. Then, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will meet with Elysee Palace with President of France Jacques Chirac.
