It is with great shock and deep sorrow that I learned of the passing away of your father, one of the greatest persons of our time, a person who faithfully dedicated his entire life to his country and nation, His Excellency, Mr. Heydar Aliyev.
Having had the opportunity to meet your father several times, I take today’s tragedy very personally and share your grief. At this time of sad bereavement I offer you, your family and Azeri people all over the world my deepest condolences.
His Excellency Mr. Heydar Aliyev will be well remembered in history as a great politician, strong individual, and beloved leader. His personality and wisdom impressed many people around the world and he will be greatly missed.
