Today is a mourning day for us like for all the people of Azerbaijan. We grieve. Our battle friend and simply remarkable man have passed away. I am grateful to my fate for giving me chances to meet frequently with Heydar Aliyevich during my service in Azerbaijan, and every time I used to be in Baku. He will remain in my memory as a careful, responsive, understanding and very modest man. His sincerity and simplicity have always attracted people. It has always been surrounded by people, in the focus of the attention, especially after Azerbaijan became an independent state. It was very difficult and thorny path of the very talented and brilliant person. He was a true leader and outstanding personality, who will be kept forever in not only the history, but also in peoples’ memory. We bow down before Heydar Aliyev seeing him off on his last journey. Today, in our minds, we are in Baku close to him. It is so far, very difficult to realize that he will no longer be with us. But he will live forever in our hearts. May God rest his soul in peace.
