We learned with great sorrow of the death of Mr. Heydar Aliyev, and our teaching staff empowered me to express to Your deep condolences on the passing of one of the most important persons in the political life of the Black Sea Region.
Due to his wisdom and experience, Mr. President Heydar Aliyev led the people of Azerbaijan during the severest moments of history, defending sovereignty and independence of his people and providing g conditions for modern development and strengthening of Azerbaijan cultural values on the international arena.
The friendship, which had made our Presidents closer, has become the foundation for development of friendship and cooperation between our countries.
It is a special honor to us that a number of arrangements on cooperation in the Black Sea region – Congress BSUN-2002 – held in Baku, were presided by Heydar Aliyev himself.
In conclusion, I want once again to assure You that students and teaching staff of the “Ovidius” University of Constantsa, deeply mourn at this time of grief. Please, convey our sincere sympathy to the people of Azerbaijan.
