I extend my deep condolences to you, workers and all the citizens of Azerbaijan on passing away of the great son of Azerbaijan people, outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyevich Aliyev.
All Azerbaijan’s accomplishments towards economy and spiritual life, revival and development of the country at the turning point of the history, risen prestige of the state in the world community are all strongly connected to the name of Heydar Aliyev.
Heydar Aliyev made invaluable contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation of fraternal countries and peoples of the Commonwealth of Independent States, maintaining peace and neighboring in the ancient land of Caucasus.
I happened to meet Heydar Aliyev when he used to work as the first deputy chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers and later I got convinced in wisdom of his judgments, intelligence, and great personal charm.
On the days of farewell with Heydar Aliyevich I mourn and share your son’s sorrow.
Bright memory of Heydar Aliyev will forever remain in our hearts.
