PRESIDENT SENDS CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO POPE BENEDICT XVI

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today has sent a message to the Pope Benedict XVI to congratulate him, on behalf of the Azerbaijani people, on the first anniversary of his inauguration.

He expressed confidence that Azerbaijan-Vatican relations will continue to develop in the spirit of friendship and cooperation.

The President wished the Pope good health, peace and success in his service in the name of the triumph of the values common to all mankind.
