Ambassador Andrew Tucker let President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev know about completion of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and announced upon his soon return to homeland. He expressed his deep gratitude the President of Azerbaijan for the confidence and favorable conditions created for him during his activity in Azerbaijan. The Ambassador highly appreciated the relations of friendship and cooperation established between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan, and expressed hope for their further development.
At the same time, Ambassador Andrew Tucker emphasized that the British Government had given a high assessment to President Ilham Aliyev’s ideas related to the future of Azerbaijan, social development of the country, adherence to the principles of democracy. According to the Ambassador, the President’s statements on his intention to become a president of each citizen of Azerbaijan and his economic program aimed at poverty reduction have aroused the British Government’s interest and met its approval.
President Ilham Aliyev said his statements made during, before and after the inauguration ceremony are his steadfast position, and Azerbaijan’s development as democratic, legal and secular state is his main goal.
