Project of Baku Olimpic Stadium is ready
Baku, March 3 (AZERTAC). The project of the Olympic stadium that will be built in Baku is ready, president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev said.
The project of the modern, 64,000-seater sports stadium is carried out by the Turkish company TOCA (The Office of Contemporary Architecture).
Mr. Abdullayev touched upon the stadium to be built in the capital noting that it will cost $1 billion and the most expensive stadium in the world is in Beijing with $370 million.
“At the moment the State Oil Company has no funds to build such a stadium and it is early to speak about the price as the tender on construction has not been announced yet”, he said.
