RALLY OF AZERBAIJANIS HELD IN MOSCOW
A rally of Azerbaijanis was held in the Pushkin Square, Moscow on October 5. The rally organized by the initiative group led by member of “Single Russia” party Rashad Hasanov and agreed with the central administrative district. Fellow Azerbaijanis Ilgar Khanbudagov, Rauf Hajiyev, Rashadat Hasanov and others stressed the significance of upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan. According to them, despite being far from the home country, the Azerbaijanis are not indifferent to Azerbaijan’s destiny. Azerbaijanis residing in Russia stand for stability created by President Heydar Aliyev and highly appreciate actions taken for Azerbaijan’s progress. They also pointed out to Heydar Aliyev’s services towards expanding relations with Russia.
Chairman of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress’s /AAC/ Moscow division, AAC presidium chairman Ilgar Hajiyev said that Azerbaijanis show interest in upcoming presidential elections and would take an active part in elections. Calls incoming to the contact telephones are evidence.
