REFUGEES AND NEEDY FAMILIES GET MICRO-CREDITS
Since December 23, 2003 Norwegian Micro-credit Non-Bank Credit Organization established by the International Humanitarian Organization Norwegian Refugee Council in 1998 have allocated credits to not only refugees but also needy families. Besides, Refugees Council of Denmark also granted 100 thousand dollars for the residents of 8 northern regions and Sumgait city. Within the past 15 days, by Agsu branch, 107 families from Agsu, Kurdamir and Shamakhi regions have received micro-credits. Credits in 200-300 dollars are given under 3% for 4-16 months to improve the situation of the families, and develop small business and economy. The Norwegian Foreign Affairs Ministry will also allocate extra micro-credits to the amount of 60 thousand dollars to these regions and Agsu branch.
