Representatives of Asian Development Bank briefed on development of Azerbaijan’s railway system

As part of their visit to Azerbaijan, members of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY).
The sides exchanged views on existing cooperation between ADY and the ADB, the development of transport infrastructure, projects in the railway sector, as well as opportunities for future cooperation.
ADY representatives briefed the guests on the development of Azerbaijan’s railway system, modern solutions in passenger transportation, and efforts to improve service quality. They noted that the company is consistently working to strengthen the country’s transport connections, implement sustainable and digital transport solutions, and provide passengers with comfortable and safe services.
Subsequently, the ADB representatives traveled to Ganja by train, taking advantage of ADY’s passenger services.
The visit is of particular importance in terms of showcasing Azerbaijan’s railway infrastructure and modern approaches to passenger transportation to international partners.
