Romanian Parliament Senator briefed on infrastructure projects implemented in Garabagh

As part of his official visit to Romania, a delegation led by Elchin Yusubov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, met with Senator Glad-Aurel Varga, Deputy Chairman of the ruling National Liberal Party in the Senate, the upper house of the parliament.
The meeting focused on advancing bilateral relations, interregional cooperation, and other issues of mutual interest.
Senator Glad-Aurel Varga highlighted the historical ties of friendship and close partnership between Romania and Azerbaijan, expressing their readiness to provide support at the parliamentary level for expanding interregional economic and investment relations.
Elchin Yusubov briefed Senator Glad-Aurel Varga on the agreements reached during his visit to Romania’s Maramureș region. He also provided insight into the large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts underway in Azerbaijan’s liberated Garabagh region funded entirely by national resources, including infrastructure projects and new opportunities for foreign investors.

Furthermore, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Deputy Chairman of the ruling Social Democratic Party, MP, Co-Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Romania Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Marian Neacşu, and MP Radu Oprea in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and planned joint measures.
Elchin Yusubov invited Marian Neacşu to visit Garabagh. Marian Neacşu said he will visit Azerbaijan, particularly Garabagh, in the near future.
