Bucharest, September 16, AZERTAC
The Romanian publication “Epoch Times Romania” has published an article highlighting remarks made by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev regarding the European Parliament during his meeting with participants of international conference held in Baku on September 15.
The article headlined “Azerbaijani President calls the European Parliament a nest of corrupt figures” featured the statements made by the head of state on the attitude of European organizations towards Azerbaijan.
The article mentioned that President Ilham Aliyev strongly criticized the European Parliament, drawing attention to corruption in the organization’s activities and double standards towards Azerbaijan.
The author stated that President Ilham Aliyev, recalling his activities in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, emphasized that Azerbaijan demanded that international organizations give a political assessment of Armenia’s occupation policy at that time.
The article underscored that Azerbaijan did not want military operations against Armenia from the Council of Europe, but political recognition of the fact of occupation. However, according to President Ilham Aliyev, no relevant decisions were made in this regard.
The article also emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev expressed concern about Islamophobia in European organizations. The President underlined that the discrediting of the Muslim world and disrespect for religious values are not accidental, highlighting the importance of unity in the face of such situations.
