RUSSIAN FEDERATION COUNCIL’S CHAIRMAN ON PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN AZERBAIJAN
Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Sergey Mironov, in his meeting with journalists on 16 October, said that he had doubt for conclusions of the Presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
At his opinion, “it should be taken into account that Azerbaijan is a Caucasian Republic, and it has traditions, the aged are respectful there. The most important is that we should take into account the great image and glory of Heydar Aliyev who has been ruling the Republic for long years.”
At the words of S. Mironov, the electors, voting for Heydar Aliyev’s son, “have voted for stability, and avoidance of shocks for the Republic”.
