Second general session of TurkPA to be held in Astana
Baku, April 24 (AZERTAC). The second general meeting of the TurkPA (Parliamentary Assembly of Turkisn-speaking countries) will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan on April 27-29.
The meeting will mainly deal with 20th anniversary of independence of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
In addition, the meeting of the Assembly`s Council will take place as well. The event will be opened by Council`s chairman-in-office, Speaker of the Azerbaijan`s Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov. President of the Kazakh Majilis Ural Mukhammedjanov will take over the chairmanship.
The general meeting is expected to adopt the TurkPA`s official flag and emblem, discuss international parliament organizations` observer membership applications, venue and date of the third general session, adoption of the Astana declaration and other issues.
