SEYMUR RZAZADEH WINS BRONZE IN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
One more Azerbaijani athlete Seymur Rzazadeh (73 kg) gains bronze medal on September 9 in the European judo championship in Tallinn.
Despite beating Swiss and Latvian rivals, he was defeated by Estonian judoist in the quarterfinal. However, he outclassed rivals from Moldova, Turkey and Poland to secure the bronze medal.
Timur Alikhanov (81 kg) won judoists from Latvia, Denmark and Belgium but lost to German athlete in the semifinal. Azerbaijani judoist was also defeated in the fight for the bronze against Slovakia representative. He ranked fifth.
Azerbaijan team has already won two medals in the championship. In women’s section, Shahane Almammadova (57 kg) ranked third.
