Prague, January 18 (AZERTAC). The 6th edition of the Prague Short Film Festival will take place from January 19 to 23, 2011, at the Svetozor cinema.

The program includes International Competition of short fiction films (maximum 25 minutes length) with the main award of 5 000 euro and noncompetitive informative sections of short films (maximum 45 minutes length).

This year`s Short Film Festival will take visitors on a field trip to Belgium and the exotic Israel. The French speaking Belgium will offer a taste of black humor and imagination that gave birth to surrealism. The newest short films in French were selected in cooperation with the International French-language Film Festival in Namur.

In the past few years, Israeli short films have been reaping awards at world film festivals, including at the most prestigious. It is time to take a closer look at this mysterious place, so close to Europe and yet so distant, through the eyes of five very different films, the best the country has produced in recent years. A sixth film, Guided Tour, will be competing for this year`s award.
