SOCAR PRESIDENT MEETS DEUTSCHE BANK OFFICIAL
Baku, July 15 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev has today met with a delegation led by Yurjen Fitschen, member of Board and Observation Council of German Deutsche Bank.
Abdullayev praised the current level of cooperation between SOCAR and Deutsche Bank. He said international financial institutions were interested in projects being implemented in Azerbaijan.
“A $80m loan allocated by Deutsche Bank to SOCAR in November 2009 is an evidence of this.”
The SOCAR President highlighted the company`s development strategy. Abdullayev said SOCAR attached special importance to cooperation with German energy companies.
In turn, Fitschen said there was big potential for cooperating with SOCAR, adding Deutsche Bank intended to further continue the bilateral cooperation.
