SOCAR president visits London to discuss cooperation with BP and ExxonMobil Companies

Baku, February 24 (AZERTAC). The president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has met with BP president Robert Durdley in the capital of England, London.

The discussions focused on exploration of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, Shahdeniz fields by BP and SOCAR, long-term cooperation on implementation of the construction and exploitation of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, including works in Shafag-Asiman fields, expecting perspectives on Shahdeniz - II, transportation of Azeri gas to Europe and the cooperation issues on implemented projects in Azerbaijan and third country between BP and SOCAR .

SOCAR President also held a meeting with the ExxonMobil Regional Manager for Europe and the Caspian Region Phil Mulhall and chief advisor on international issues Steven Mann.

At the meeting Rovnag Abdullayev stressed ExxonMobil is one of the first international oil and gas companies operating in Azerbaijan. He added the Company successfully cooperates with SOCAR on major regional projects and expressed confidence that the two companies will continue to successfully develop business partnerships formed in the previous period.
