SOCAR TO ‘OPEN SALES OFFICES IN TURKEY’
Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, plans to set up several offices across Turkey to sell products of Petkim, said the company`s Vice-President Davud Mammadov during a meeting with Turkish businessmen in Baku.
Together with Turcas Petrokimya SOCAR holds 51 percent of shares of Petkim, a Turkish petrochemical company producing ethylene, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene and other chemical building blocks for use in the manufacture of plastics, textiles, and other consumer and industrial products.
According to Mammadov, there are also plans to build an oil refinery in Turkey`s Aliaga municipality till 2012.
