Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament extends condolences to Georgian counterpart

Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has sent a letter of condolences to Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, following the passing of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.
The letter highlights that the lifelong service of His Holiness Ilia II to humanity, his contributions to promoting peace, solidarity, and interreligious dialogue in the Caucasus, as well as his significant role in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and peoples, will always be remembered with deep respect.
In her message, on her own behalf and on behalf of the members of the Milli Majlis, the Speaker expressed her sincere condolences to her Georgian counterpart, members of parliament, and the friendly people of Georgia.
