STATE SOCIAL SECURITY FUND EXPANDS ITS INTERNATIONAL TIES
The reports entitled “Legal Bases of Social Insurance”, “Organization of exercise of Social Insurance”, “Collection of Payments for Social Insurance”, control over the collection, actions taken against evading the payments were heard at the meeting attended by 12 working group specialists of its members states.
Speaking at the meeting, chairman of the State Social Security Fund Salim Muslumov updated the audience on reforms implemented in Azerbaijan towards collection of social insurance payments. He said that actions taken in this sphere in Azerbaijan bear fruits. Salim Muslumov told of the measures taken against evasions from social insurance and noted that Azerbaijan also uses experience of the Eastern Europe countries.
President of the International Social Insurance Association Johan Verstraten expressed hope that issues considered by the working group, experience exchange, proposals towards tackling the problems will facilitate successful working in the field of social insurance in the member states and called on Azerbaijan to join the International Social Insurance Association. To define the facts of evasions, the meeting participants familiarized with the system applied by the National Institute of Social Provision of Italy.
