Stoltenberg's mandate as Nato head extended for 2 years

Nato on Tuesday extended the mandate of Jens Stoltenberg as secretary general for two years, until 30 September 2020, according to EUobserver online newspaper.
Stoltenberg, a former Norwegian prime minister, has been in post since October 2014. Members of the North Atlantic alliance said that they have "full confidence in his ability to continue his dedicated work to advance NATO's adaptation to the security challenges of the 21st century."
