Swedish Prime Minister urges residents to prepare for crisis

Baku, September 16 (AZERTAC). In his address to the Parliament, the Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt called on residents to be prepared for the worst - a new economic crisis.

We do not know how long and deep the crisis will be. However, a depressive global trend is observed, indicating to the inevitability of crisis - the economic growth is slowing down, leading to increasing unemployment and hampering national governments to carry out reforms. Therefore, we must be prepared for joint instability and economic hardships, Postimees cites the Prime Minister.

The Swedish Prime Minister also emphasized that the government will do everything possible to create new jobs. He pointed out that Sweden will not use strict economic measures, including large-scale redundancies at companies, but instead will seek to protect existing jobs and possibly create new ones.

A day before this announcement, Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund, also accentuated the global economic growth slow-down. She urged the developed countries` governments to adopt the necessary measures to prevent growth threats.
